Hi Guys. Cannot believe you are already fluent in Nepali. We have been here for 5 years and Xhosa is still proving difficult! Loved the video; seemed even more hectic than Cape Town! Keep the blog going it's great!

Never mind the elections. Sitting here in Canada, all we hear about Kathmandu are the protests in support of the Tibetan monks. Watch out Gordon - you may get mistaken for one ( don't wear red )!!
Claire
Hi you two! Photos and blog are fab - keep 'em coming. All well here - up to eyes (literally - Amelia dab hand at flicking food absolutely everywhere) in pureed carrot/parsnip, still enjoying being at home and not missing Velotab one little bit, thank you Colonel Lilly! Good luck with househunting.... Cxx

Yes the small beggar was still alive after I tripped over him - I am a lot lighter now after my introduction to the Kathmandu quickstep! And anyway, he should have known how the traffic works here - if you're below eye level you just have to keep out of the way!

Was the small beggar still alive after Melissa stood on him/her/it? Who was the slaphead giant walking ahead of her?

Hi, glad to hear all is going so well. I should be arriving in August some time - although things change all the time. My house is in Patan, next to the British Army Barracks. Alexander is on holiday so we are busy doing things to keep us out of mischief - about to take him for a run! Your blog and photos have given us an idea of what K looks like. Rowena

Party last night was fun and baby Madeleine was a star and slept like a log, giving her parents time to relax. My boy stayed up until 1.30am in the morning and is in pretty good form today, I could do with a snooze before hitting the pub with Bridget and Barbara.
Hope all OK there, have been reading about the Tibetan protests going on in Katmandu, keep safe.xx

Oh that's weird so am I. Hope she sleeps for an hour or so and be starring at Helen's party tonight. But not too bright to outshine the real star, our Harold. Going to read the blog now then let Carole have a peep, while I shower.

Great Blog! Just so you know, its p***ing down with rain here, cold and windy! I feel I can join in with your experiences today as I too am covered in colourful goo, curtesy of Madeleine!

Love the hat Gordon! Goes beautifully with the marigold garland. It's good to hear you're settling in. Garden of Dreams looks beautiful - great to have a tranquil haven. If it's anything like old Delhi, Kathmandu will be Sauchiehall St on a Saturday afternoon times 100. Seen any cows in shops yet?
Helen (Harold Lloyd)
ooooh I've managed to link this site with my Facebook page, so I'll get updates on there when you've added to the blog - how exciting!
Glad you're settling in well, even if you can't hold hands, when you get you're own place it'll be like being newly married all over again!
