Going Tribal
Ok, it's 4 AM now after finishing our evening of the farewell party, and we just arrived back at the hotel -- 3 hours until we leave for the airport bound for Singapore, so we're kind of in a conundrum -- to sleep or not to sleep. Ahhh, we're on holiday, what's the difference now ?
Sorry for the additional blog posting, but I felt the need to share the latest, which seemed to evolve at the latter hours in the peak of our state of inebriation.
In classic form and following her father's footsteps, it seems that Haley has injured her ankle while impaired (although her's is the right and mine was the left). She was intent on having pictures taken on top of all of the big cat statues throughout the city of Kuching at 3:30 AM, and I think we got some good shots. But the last one did her in, as she leaped from the statue and took a hard landing. Aside from a little blood and some swelling, it looks like a sprain and probably nothing further. Whatever she's feeling now, I'm confident it will be exacerbated tomorrow as we're rolling through the airports.
Had loads of fun at the karaoke bar (which we owned), and then started losing one of our British friends to a heightened level of impairment. After getting them to their hotel room safely, lots of laughs, and not a happy hotel front deskman, we then started our quest for the cat statues. The taxi driver was a little dumbfounded as he said he's never had anyone do this before, so chalk that as one for the Americans !
It was our night to celebrate with our friends from the last 2 weeks, and do our best to indulge, and I feel we succeeded pretty well.

Grandpa Holy Cats! Feline Madness & Feline Frenzy Combined. Wow!
John Paul Jones You know, there are just way to many ways to go on this one for sure. I think I will just take this one off.
Aman Ah, screw that Paul, she looks like me taking a dodo in my cage and Robert is there watching...and then cleaning up...sucker!
Holly I love these posts. Thanks so much for sharing Robert. What an amazing trip. I pray Haley's ankle heals quickly.
Deena Knudsen The best.:)
