Dave's Travel Diary
Darwin, Northern Territory
Phew! Well it\'s been two-and-a-half weeks out here now so i\'ve got a lot to say, but i\'ll try to keep it short. The highlights of Darwin: going on a 5-day camping trip in Kakadu NP which was bloody lovely; stupidly nice weather (about 31 C every day, cooler in the mornings and at night); meeting some other really cool travellers (the best ones being English, unexpectedly), and moving out of our hostel and into a house! The lowlights so far: having a patchy suntan due to peeling; the situation of the Aborigines here; my unbelievably cheese shoes (hey it\'s the heat ok?); and, um, well... OK so the highlights are easily winning so far. Darwin\'s a really chilled out town, not so much to do in the day but when everyone comes back from work at about 4ish then it\'s much more fun, and a lot of beer is being drunk out here. I had a job washing cars for a day and quit because it was poo and I\'m lazy and I washed cars for 3 years when i was younger and that was more than enough! Anyways i\'m going to get some pics on here soon hopefully, only problem is my camera\'s gone and broken even though i only got it at Xmas. Until next time...
