We have 115.2K to reach Santiago.we had a steep hill to climb leaving Sarria. Weather is perfect for walking -cool with a slight breeze and winding paths that offer shade. The number of pilgrims has increased as Sarria is the major starting point to cover the requisite 100 km to qualify for the compostella. We stayed at a municipal Alberque and luckily scored lower bunks. Sleeping in the bunk next to Poppa G is a small woman with a crooked spine who has brought her canary with her to walk the Camino, I kid you naught. We did some exploring of the area & found a lovely bar/cafeteria in a converted 300 year old barn. We watched the end of a Tom Cruise & Cameron Diaz movie in Spanish. After dinner, we were entertained by a group of young men from the USA who sang & performed juggling acts. They were some recent high school grads & seminarians. They bring no money with them and rely on The Lord to provide. They slept in the field.
