The spanish steps is for the lovers of Rome. The steps are beautiful but I wouldn't say they wowed me. What wowed me were the people. Everyone just sits on these steps with their significant other over looking the piazza filled with tourist and Italians. You go there to rest and to take it all in. This is where I thought how much I envied the romance in Italy. Yes I am hopeless romantic. I've read every Fairytale book. Obsessed with the twilight saga for it's over dramatic love story. Love Shakespeare. I don't know where I got this from bc my brothers bullied me and I was a tom boy growing up. You'd think romance wouldn't be big a part of me but oh it is lol. PDA is everywhere in Italy. Especially these steps. But not gross MiAmi PDA. Huge difference. The men are so passionate with their women. He's always touching her. Giving her kisses. Whispering. Singing to her. Holding hands and hugging. Literally just admiring her and not afraid to show his affection. When I interviewed Forlenzo lol I asked why the Italian women were so quite when alone. They aren't these energetic flirty women. He said that the women in Italy love to play shy bc they know that the men will live up to their expectations of being the aggressor. Meaning the men take action in pursuing them. That women in Italy barely approach men. Forlenzo said it's simple math. He said he never got anywhere treating a women with disrespect. Why is it that the city of love is just Rome. I'm confused. America is filled with statistics and bulls*** articles about what to do and what not to that the art of love has died. For the majority lol Rome please don't ever change. I hope that these steps continue to bring lovers from all over the world and that this city remains romantic and full of love. It's intoxicating. Even the musicians performing on the street sides are singing frank Sinatra. I am on cloud 9 in this city. Maybe that's why being alone on this trip has been so exciting. There hasn't been a moment where I wasn't smiling. If u crave love and romance You must make it a point to come to this city. Alone or with your other half it's elevating:)
