Well, where do I start! I missed you so much this Christmas, everyone did. Have to say I shed a few tears over the Christmas - when I was at mass with our family and you weren't there, when we received your Christmas card it was so heart warming & of course on New Years Eve not being able to give you a hug & kiss like every other year but I know you are happy and enjoying yourself so it doesn't make it seem as bad. You know how the song goes "It will be lonely this Christmas without you around' well that sums it all up!

Ok so enough sad talk, fill me in on your Christmas, I want to hear all, what did you do New Years Eve? I did too much partying over Christmas. Aoife and I were out every second night & today is my first day back at work & cause its our busiest time of the year & I suppose dealing with BMW customers being so demading its not a great day to be back, I feel like I need a few days off to recover. I'd say once today is over I will be back in a work mode again.

How is your job going, still making great tips with the men are you??? I was looking at your photos again today and you really look gorgeous & have a lovely glow about you, I can see how happy you are. If I wasn't so caught up in work I would love nothing more than to visit you for a month, I'd say it would be one of the best experiences ever. I can't wait now till you come home its just less than three months - happy days I have my little sis back. Last year without you made me realise all the things that I love about you and all I can say is I can't wait to make up for that time apart Grainne.

In your Christmas card the way you said how being away made you realise how special & close are family are and your right we are all very lucky to have each other. Even being out with the bro's over Christmas we are all so close and nothing could replace that.

The dogs & cats are well, they had a great feast over Christmas, Mum is finding it hard to get them back on there tinned food. Oh Mum & I gave Harvey and Fionn a bath last week so funny Gra, Harvey was loving it but Fionn wanted to kill us but I couldn't stop hugging them afterwards they smelt so lovley.

Wow, what an update!! Your fingers must be killing you after all that typing!! 

First to you,

I don’t know whether you are better suited to being a photographer or a model, but I know you would be brilliant at both!!  Some of the photographs you have are amazing- those of Hook Island and winter sunsets – professional quality babes!!  And yourself!!  I don’t think I have ever seen you look better!!  Of course when you are down to your underwear in a strip poker game it helps but your looking fantastic  - the Oz weather definitely suits you (you’ve always been gorgeous, but even more so now J)

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas over there – must have been a strange experience.   I, myself had a strange Christmas this year also.   Now before I tell you why, I will say that everything is ok now and things are getting back to normal.

I don’t know if I was telling your before about my dad having to have brain surgery on an aneurysm – had a haemorrhage on the carotid artery back in September and was tough and go for a long while, thought we had lost him but after 5 operations, 2 serious brain ops, he eventually started recovery.   Unfortunately, the first procedure shifted and he needed to be rushed to hospital again for another brain procedure just 2 and a half weeks ago, we though everything would be ok but ended up that blood wasn’t flowing right in the brain and we spent Xmas in Intensive care waiting for news.   Was a scary time for us all, but the best Xmas gift ever was the news he was out of intensive care yesterday and looks to be making another recovery.   

Grainne, I really have seen such a change in myself after that – perspectives and everything goes out the window – I really do not care about the menial tasks in life anymore – as in how I get on in work and everything, life is just too short to be worrying or to be holding grudges.   And I so enjoyed reading your mail today as to me, you are doing just what people should be doing – living life to the full, having carefree fun and loving every minute of it – I even got the urge to do the same while looking through your pics, but I still think I am too much of a homebird and family stuff will take over from now.

On other news, me and Clodagh still going strong, living together and loving it, work is fine, as I said, I am not too worried on how people perceive me (never was too much, but not going to put same effort into work these days), family healthy apart from the above which has been very stressful.  Irish weather cold and wet, you will find no bikini clad beauties such as yourself and your friends at this time of year!!

I am delighted to see you so happy over there, and wonderful that your luck keeps coming right – you needed all that babes, hasn’t always been easy for you over here.   I do still miss ya – have grown accustomed to you being away but your not just down the road for a shopping trip with ya anymore! L

Let me know when next time you’ll be home – and we have to be sure to meet up!   Meanwhile, enjoy every moment over there and ill stop by your website to look in on the latest parties/adventures/games you’ve been getting up to!

You probably know I have been working with you cous Joanne for the last few months, she's very nice. We had a good laugh yesterday having a look at all your photo's!!

We have our xmas party today, so that should be a bit of a laugh. We'll have to see if she is as good on the piss as the rest of the Johnston clann!!!

Hey Gra,I'm at work now, so I had a cery quick scan of your update.... and also had a very quick scan of you photo album.... Holy crap Gra! It really is a good thing that you do not know just how Gorgeous you really are.... I know you've heard it loads of times in your life, but I just had to say it again.I am like jealous oef every single guy in all of those photos! :)The photos of the places you have been are amazing! Really, really amazing! You are very lucky to be having this experience... and I am so so happy for you!! I am returning to South Africa in just over 2 weeks, so I do not know if we will ever se each other again :( But who knows... now that travelling lies as close to your heart as it does to mine, our horizons and possibilities are endless!Gonna miss London and everyone I met very much! But I really am looking forward to going home too... as you know I hav'nt been there in Like 2 years! So more than anything, my heart is pulling me back too....

Thankyou so much for the lovely letter you sent to Dad and I. The words and descriptions of Mum are so comforting for us and we appreciate them more than you can imagine !!!!!

We are 'coping' although not looking forward to the first Christmas without her, Jane and Joe are missing her enormously and we will all support each other, Rob is grieving too as he has been part of the family for 16 years and thought a lot of my Mum.

I phoned your Mum last week and will continue to do so as I can imagine the pain she is in at losing her 'big' sister and will be there whenever she would like to talk !
