Hi Guys,
How are you all?
We're just back from a weeks tour of the South West. Hired a wicked campervan to tour around in, pretty basic but had a wee sink in the back and just about enough room for us both to sleep! We left last Saturday and made our way down to Bunbury, where we stayed the night. We went to a dophin centre, but there were no dolphins! We then went back to the campsite to prepare dinner , only to find no gas in our mini stove. Gillon was not happy! Sandwiches for dinner!
Next day, off to Busselton Jetty, the longest jetty in the Southern Hemisphere. Beautiful blue sea and white sand. This was the fitness for the trip, with the 1.8K walk to the end! Next off to Margaret River, where we managed to squeeze in another wine tour! this of course is hard work for us but we are slowly aclimeatising to the situation. we went to a few wineries that day then another early night.
over the next few days we toured about the coastal region and went to a few lighthouse and with amazing views and blue seas. this included cape Naturalistic the most southerly point in oz and also cape leuwellin where the southern and indian oceans meet - oceans colide! It was pretty amazing!
We also spent time in Denmark and York, both in Oz, we didn't make a quick trip back to Europe!
Our last stop was the Swan Valley Wine Region, where we paid for a hop on/ hop off wine tour, but we were the only 2 on the bus, so we had our own personal chaffeur called Bob from Macedonia!! We managed to make it to 8 wineries, but jenni swears that she can only remember 5!
Back in Perth now, was very sad to say goodbye to Kinky deluxe, our van! Named that for good reason! Had some choice words on the side about Perfect men and women! Will post the photos soon! You have to see this van to believe it! Caused a few raised eyebrows in supermarket carparks, campsites etc, but it was alot of fun!
Anyway better go just now, off to Melbourne on Wednesday!
Will speak soon,
Love Jenni and Gillon x
