Slow morning here in Rome.
We are booked on a tour of the Vatican City, St Peters Bascilla and the Sistine Chapel this afternoon.
You can't do these places without being on a tour the queues are so long and it is hot.
Our tour guide is an older man Antonio very knowledgable however spoke to much!! He went on and on but we just listened and followed his flag. There are so many people you can't stray or you will be left behind.
Brian has done these places before 25 years ago and sees lots of changes now with security etc you are limited in some places that you can visit inside now compared to then.
One has not been to a church until you have been to Rome. The Sistine Chapel was amazing and so was St. Peter's.
It was a sight to be seen.
We don't see the Pope he is on holidays out of Rome like most Romans!!
We took a taxi back to our hotel an experience in it else. Drivers here in Rome have no idea of road rules there are lots of one way narrow streets and huge crowds and everyone just moves out of the way.
We finished off our last day in Rome with a lovely Italian dinner.
Tomorrow we have an early start 4am pick up for our flight and next adventure the UK.
First stop is Edinburgh where we will stay with Brian's cousin for a week and take in all Edinburgh and North have to offer.
