Woke after a noisy night next to the quay road. Decided to skip breakfast and head up to the Wellington cable car.On our way saw the shoppers at Lambton Quay waiting for Kirkaldie and Staines (Harrods) to open their sale .Photo is the iconic one for the area . Walked around the botanical gardens. A peaceful haven set on the hillside above Clifton and the university.

Docked at Wellington , and found the Waterfront Campervan park quite easily. Lucky we had pre booked as the site soon filled up. We're told on arrival that tomorrow Monday is a bank holiday . Very impressed with this city , went for walk to get our bearings ready for the morning. Dave goes for a run across the waterfront, before we turn in .

Sat on the 10th level , the water looked calm , waved good bye to South Island .
