Bright start so decided to give Huka Falls another try, took the easy route using the Campervan . Well worth it.

Found camp site will stay for two nights. After lunch decided to try to walk to Huka Falls, trailing alongside the Wairoa River and the thermal springs where lots of young people were bathing in the warm waters. Sadly I found the walk too much so we turned back after walking for about an hour. Did take a paddle in the river to cool my feet !!

Woke to a rain soaked site, had conversation with couple from Luxembourg just retired, holiday of a life time too. Drive over the misty mountains towards Taupo, on the SH5 about 140 kms . Passing by the Waipunga Falls .
