Lunch at Jackson Bay what a funny little place miles from any where. The Cray Pot, run by two girls who greeted us with the news that they had no water! Fish was lovely, Dave had venison.

Haast Bridge To Jackson Bay, New Zealand
Over Gates of Haast Bridge, it was teeming visibility very poor. Road through the pass was just reopened , water cascading out of the rocks onto the road, what a sight ! We don't have rain like this in the UK thankfully !!!!
Wanaka To Haas, New Zealand
Thunderstorms woke us around 7am so we had a shower and breakfast and moved out of a grey Wanaka heading on the SH84 towards Albert Town then took SH6 to Haast. Mountain Peeks pushing up thro the mist , waterfalls cascading out of the rocks and down the side of Southern Alps. Photos don't do the scenery justice.
Queenstown To Wanaka, New Zealand
From Queenstown we went up a very steep hill known as Crown Range road, conservation scenic area several lookouts along the way , up the mountain and down the other side to Wanaka, a town on the edge of Lake Wanaka. This is our overnight base. Our camper van spot backs onto a sheep farm and steep mountain side. This is a photo from inside as I blog !!!!
Te Anau To Queenstown, New Zealand
We walked through the town which used to be a gold mining area, now it is an adventure playground. We took the gondola ride up the mountain whew what a view , picture shows Queenstown in the valley and the beautiful Lake Wakatipu.
