Puerto Iguazu – Iguacu falls, the Argentinean side.
WoW.
No, not again… but really – WoW…
As I explained before – Iguacu falls is divided between Brazil and Argentina and I was lucky enough to see them from both sides.
As opposed to the Brazilian side, where you'll find a spectacular panoramic view of the waterfalls, in the Argentinean side you almost walk on top of the waterfalls. The surrounding is very similar (rainforest, butterflies, jungle creatures), but the view is completely different. You see all of the waterfalls from the top and watch as the water flows down into the river.
The most famous waterfall there is the "Devil’s throat" – “Gargante del Diablo”. It’s an amazing waterfall that was formed as 2 rivers collide, forming a sharp tip from which an immense amount of water rapidly falls a few dozens of meters into a river. The waterfall is amazing and you can actually get really close to it, hear the powerful roar and see the water flowing from under your feet. You get really wet there, so a waterproof camera is a good idea (so does waterproof clothes)…
Another attraction in the park is taking a boat to sail inside 2 waterfalls… Of course we had to do it and it was amazing! At first you’re sure that the boat will crash and that everyone will drown, but the boat takes off every hour so I guess it never really happens. Here you get EXTREMELY wet obviously, just look at the video :D
I really do recommend you to visit the place yourself, there’s absolutely no way of describing it… It was a shame to leave such a beautiful area, but we must continue…
So off we go, flying from the Iguacu airport to Salvador! Carrrrrnaval here I come!!!
