Well... As much as I enjoyed Colonia, going back to Buenos Aires was amazing!
The passport control cop told wished me a great jurney in hebew, which was surprising and nice, but coming back to the party city was a good idea.
I had to say goodbye to Mikaela and Carina - the 2 girls i've been traveling with. Unfortunately they left BA just as I went to Uruguay and left me all alone here :(
But not before we had our last big night out having a great steak in Lo de jesus! it was awesome... Just look at that smile.
Well, you can't not smile when you have this big juicy piece of meat on your plate.
After I came back to BA I had a pleasant surprise - a lot of my friends from the park in Bolivia came to the big city to celebrate Xmas and new years eve!
So what happens when you meet a lot of friends from Park Machia in Buenos Aires? One big PARTY...
We all met in BA - Team puma (Andrew, Adam and me), another puma walker (Luke), a puma girl (Elise), a monkey girl (Shannon), a monkey guy (Phil), a bird girl (Clare) and a bird guy (Arnau).
That's one crazy jungle right here in the big city! So we started by partying every night. Apparently there's an Israeli mafia here in Buenos Aires, so if you just call a guy called Avihai - he can get you into any club in BA with discount and without a line...
So I became the tickets pimp... Whenever we wanted to go to a club I just called him and he met us at the entrence with the cheap tickets and got us in through security. There are a few advantages for being an Israeli.
As you can probably see in the pictures, the parties are crazy and we all had the time of our lives in the past few days.
Xmas party at the Crobar was insane, and there were so many fireworks in the city, it seems like they all went crazy...
The next day (actual christmass) we decided to have a lovely home cooked meal. We prepared a wonderful beer-can-chicken... It's very simple to make this excellent dish:
1. Get a whole chicken.
2. Season the chicken with whatever spices you like.
3. Drink half of the beer can.
4. Dhove the beer can up the chicken's ass.
5. Cook.
The result is amazing... so tender and moist. I'll definately try it when I get back home.
After dinner we went out (again) to another party. Gotta love this city!
The next few days were mostly parties, drinking and a little bit sightseeing. We went to the famous cemetary in Recoleta. Such a strange place... It's just like a city for graves! It's a huge area and instead of graves they have small houses with whole families in there. Marble statues, basements, fancy coffins, chairs, tables and much more.
It actually is a mini city in the middle of BA. Evita's grave was a bit disappointing, small and not unique.
Other areas in BA are beautiful. Boca, Puerto madera, Recoleta, Palermo and more. The river area is beautiful and has many fancy restaurants and bars.
To sum things up - Buenos Aires is a lovely city and there are a lot of things to do here during the day and during the night.
New years eve is in 2 days, and we're a big group gathering here... It's going to be legendary ;)
So good night for now, and Hasta Luego!
Gilad.
