So we arrived in Hong Kong and it was just as we expected....amazing! Bright lights, tall buildings and god knows how many Hello Kitty posters.
Due to jet lag we thought we'd take it easy for the first night and found a local Vietnamise restauraunt. It wasn't until we'd sat down and ordered that the realisation hit us....there were no knifes and forks, just chop sticks. To say there was drama would be an understatement. A local food joint full of locals eating leisurely with chop sticks and those china spoon things, and us the only English within a 10 mile radius. Liam was staving so immediately dived in with the spoon. I attempted the chop sticks, but with slimey noodles it wasn't easy.
Anyway after some time we got the hang of it - in other words just dived our heads into the bowls and shovelled!
Next came the exploring, where to Liam's delight we found a 7 a side flood lit football pitch right in centre of the city surrounded by sky scrapers. He was BUZZING!
As usual, it wouldn't be us if we didnt stumble into some problems...as we spent the next hour trying to find our hotel. Seriously how many hotels does a city need? Though we did get a chance to see some more sights.
Onto day two, and Victoria Peak!
