WE LOVE KERALA!
The end
Ok... so will write a little more.. Came back from Kerala on Wednesday morning after spending 5 days there - flippin awesome! New favourite place! It;s pretty similar to Goa but alot bigger and more western.. we discovered a pizza hut and the worlds most beautiful hotel (Ramada - check it out!)
Went on our first ever sleeper train, i think we enjoyed it a little too much.. but seriously soo cool! The novelty of lying down, while moving never wore off (untill they stole our blankets at 7am.. not so cool). So we arrived on Saturday morning, greeted by Marvel (Matins youngest brother). He took us to his (well not technically his but anyway) apartment which was AMAZING - 7 stories high = no ants/cockroaches :) Also including power showers, leather sofas, swimming pool/jacuzzi and so on.. the high life. Went out for lunch with English styley toasted sandwiches and alot of cake YUM! We then ventured to Fort Kochi and had a bit of a gander around some crazy museum for 2 rupees which is always nice.. we then went to some crazy chinese style fishing place, not the nicest smell but Georgia had Tang (Indian squash) to sniff so no problem there... we then drove a speed boat around some form of river which was HUGE.. maybe even the sea? Saw dolphins and some beauutiful honeymoon shack-type things on the water... also got very wet but that's never a complaint in India.
Later on we headed towards THE poshest/nicest/most beautfiul hotel i have everr seen (The Ramada one) The swimming pool was the size of a lake and houses all over the water - definately the new desired honeymoon spot! Had thee biggest meal andfelt very sick which Georgia paid for the next day. yuck.. need i say more?
The next day, after 3 imodiums, we headed for Veega Land! Indias version of Thorpe Park, but alot more orientated towards water slides... kinda like slashdown in poole but better! Spent the day there, stared at a lot. literally the only white people in the entire park... sort of realised we never want to be famous, cant hack the staring!
Then we headed to Beenas parents house in Kottayam about 2 hours away. On the way got stuck in a hindi parade.. everyone was just high and drunk, was prettttty scary. So we locked the car doors!
The next day we went on a house boat, on the backwaters which was AMAZING. It was absolutely huge, it had 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms- insane! so had a day of sunbathing, eating and generally being very spoilt!
We went to Beenas sisters house for dinner and met her kids Caleb and Aislinn. Caleb = the most over the top/funniest child ever! was a pretty fun evening.
Came home and discovered two absolutely massive spiders in our bathrooms. The biggest spiders we've ever seen! had a power cut whilst on our way to tell the staff about the spiders, so were sitting in the dark with a candle terrified that the spiders were going to move. Then this random man came with a big brush and "beat" the spider and then flushed it down the loo. Was incredibly funny but terrifying at the same time!
The next day we went shopping with Bini (beenas sister) then went out for lunch to this hotel which was cool. Ate lots of food.
Then went back to Kochi to get our train at 10:30 pm definitely didnt love the train as much this time. They woke us up at 6 AM, were NOT IMPRESSED AT ALL
which explains the photo of Georgia with the blanket pulled over her head they woke her 3 times before stealing the blankets! sadddd times!
Got back into Goa and felt like we were coming home which was awesome.
So kerala was cool. Dont really have much else to say other than we're still all good and having a fantastic time.
Please continue to pray for us and for Tom Sophia and Nat as they come to India to see us!
