Hi all from the great old city, Amsterdam. We could NOT be having more fun! This place is amazing, life changing, soul defining. So many people say that Amsterdam is so much more than drugs and prostitution. Well I am here to tell you, Amsterdam is so much more!! We have walked about 20+ miles in the past few days and can't wait to do it all again.

When we arrived, the airport was filled with taxis. Mostly normal. Except they were all Mercedes! And really nice ones at that.

Everyone has been UBER helpful. Finding trains, trams, streets, and action.

Jae has almost been killed several times by trams and cars. The thing you need to keep in mind here is to stay outta their way!! When you hear the chime of a bike bell, MOVE!!! Or get bike in the butt, which I understand to be painful for all involved.

And cars, while not excessive, are teeney little cuties that pack a lot chaos. Miss your turn?? No problem, just stop, back up whereever you are, and then preoceed with reckless abandon.

The canals are everywhere and each one has its own personality and appeal. But to see the boats navigate with each other in a small canal is cosmic. Filled with mysteries and unknown and yet it works smoothly.

I can't wait to tell you more, but we have trams to catch and places to walk. The quote that I hope to never forget was spoken from a 'politie' ('police' officer) to Jae on the street, "Go, Go! Smoke your weed in ze park, or anywhere really. Just not in... what do you call it, OTHER peoples doorways. Smoke anywhere.... the streets, everywhere!" woah. that was interesting.

The most memorable thing so far is that EVERY SINGLE PLACE you look there is art. Even under overpasses and in trash. Art. It is beauty for the eye, but so many more underlying aspects catch you off guard and change you from the inside out. I can't wait to see what it does to me!
