Wow, Just got your card from Lake Atitlan! You two are really doin' it! Thanks for sharing all that you have. So stoked for you two and your journey, connecting with people, places and each other. Look forward to hearing more along the way. All is well here in MRY gearing up for a fun family X-mas and fun new year.
Happy Solstice,

Congradulations to my big brother Rafa and his wife Cristina and the birth of their baby girl, Natali. We are incredibly excited to be auntie & uncle and can´t wait to meet her!

Just went through all your pictures. Mezcal is like licking the feet of someone who has just polished off an entire bottle of tequila - which is to say awesome. Also, Oaxacan chocolate is super awesome, not at all like feet of any kind. Maybe monkey feet if they've been walking through a field of cocoa beans. Probably not. How are your feet? What do they taste like? Has anyone asked you that before?

We went to Lake Atitlan! Seeing you there makes you feel a little closer. Today I am especially feeling jealous of your travels. It's 30 degrees in Santa Cruz/Monterey. On a different theme, I think it's really happening with Salinas Waste Management to get Recycling and pick up for all Monterey County Head Start centers. Thanks for all the work towards that you did along the way Genny. The teachers still ask about you :)

Yo Bone & Genny (aka tractor mama)
well, a fairly large moose came down the road the other evening and walked across the field, having determined those of us watching were not worth wasting his time on. Turns out we didn't have to go all the way to East Japepe, Vt. to find one. We could have stayed home and saved a couple of Cliff Bars. The things we do for mom!
Hockey season started a few weeks ago. We blew away the competition first night; so I've been traded to a weaker team. We've lost the last 2, but it's a good skate. Wish you were there.
The pix are great; the blogs are great. Mom is worried that you look too thin. I told her it's probably because you'rre packing one of those exercise wonders they advertise on t.v.
Keep Genny away from the broccoli. LuvD

Hey Genoveva y Adam. What an incredible trip so far. I am sure Merida was amazing. Love the pictures of the family. Nothing like family in Mexico (I think you know what I mean). Continue to enjoy your trip (in as safe manner as possible). Love you lots.

I love getting the e-mails and then discovering where you guys are now and what you are doing. I love to live vicariously through the two of you. I want to see pictures from dia del muerto. I wanna see if it's what I learned in school. Love to you both and don't forget to see bats for me and see if they speak Spanish or English!
