so in the gorgrously hot Leticia now and heading to Brazil tomorrow! and i should apologise straight off for the typing and grammer, there are absolutely no letters left on this keyboard, this may take a while!!
Managed to acquire 2 brit boys the last few days, Douglas from Yorkshire and Ian from bristol, but we didnt hold that against him!! they have been my Spanish translators!
so what have we been up to ... went to Puerto Narino a couple of days ago about 2 hours fast boat up the amazon from Leticia and saw PINK dolphins!! and lots of birds, the boys think i am highly amusing liking birds!! we got a little stuck at one point as our boatman was a bit of a nutter, he just aimed the little boat at reeds and floored it to get through, didnt work at one point and we had to pull our way through on the reeds, disturbing every mosquito in Colombia in the process!! AND an ants nest fell in on Douglas and Ian :) of course i did the responsible thing at took pictures!!
oh and got up at 5am to watch the birds wake up yesterday, got very excited at seeing a parrot for first time in wild, then in evening sat and watched about 10,000 of them roost in a tree in town, hysterical to watch esp people under trees dodging the inevitable bird poop! saw my first vulture walking down street too, now discovered after a couple of days the black vulture is the pigeon of Colombia, theyre everywhere!
So Leticia - drank a few beers, ate great street food and generally sweating alot!! :)
next stop Brazil and Palmari Reserve!!
and to my old travel buds i have very quickly relearnt the squat and waft technique to avoid the mossys at certain moments ;)
pictures are taking FOREVER to load, if they are so will try again at Palmari folks! xxx
