Wow!! After a very long plane journey we have arrived safe, sound and in one piece. We both had a very emotional send off, but thankfully we had some lovely people on our plane which made it easier. The first thing we saw when we got off the plane was none other than Kate Moss (she was tiny, looked about 15 and had great skin - moose!) we think she was on our plane but sadly they wouldn't let us in 1st class! Have just checked into our hotel which is basic, but has all we need plus a pool and a balcony - nice! For those of you who have been here before, we are just round the corner from Khao San Road, which is soooo busy and is full of tourists. Bangkok is so much greener than we expected, but still has the big city feel, so many people (approx 9 million!) Now we knew it was gonna be hot, but OH MY LORD it's like an oven. There is just no fresh air. But the way we look at it we might just lose a few pounds?! Hee he We have already picked up a bit of the lingo - well, we know how to say hello, and that we should bow to our elders to show respect. The hotel staff have been giving us all the do's and don'ts - so parents you have no need to panic. We feel a bit like fish out of water, so we are gonna take a wander, do some people watching with a long cold drink, and see if we can find any other fish.
