Gemma's Travels
ok let me have my little whinge before i tell you all what iv been up to, my feet are all swollen and blistered they are so sore i can barely stand and im covered in mud! right thats out of the way, so yesterday i went to the embassey and iv got to go back tommorrow, so after faffing for 2hrs in the embassey and running around like a lunatic trying to find a printer to print out my itinery for them i finally decided to skip the gardens and just go to the zoo, it was awesome the best zoo i have ever been to and i got the full oz experience as i saw koalas, kangaroos, tazmanian devils, dingos and emus it was such fun, and i spent the whole day there. today i have been to the blue mountains which meant an early start, had to get up at 6am - the pic next to this essay is in the blue mountains, they are gorgeous! before we got there we went to a national park and saw wild kangaroos, it was so cute a few of them had little joeys in their pouches! then when we got to the blue mountains i did a 3hr bush walk which was hard work, a lot harder than the treks i did in new zealand, i had to clamber up things and balance i also had to walk through several muddy swamps (hence why im covered in mud) climb millions of stairs - im trying not to exagerate it looked and felt like millions. and then at the end of that we stopped for lunch, drove 15mins and did another walk for an hour down lots of steep steps and rocks to get to the bottom of the scenic railway, the scenic railway is the steepest railway in the world - steeper than any rollercoaster and we had to ride it backwards back up to the top, it was terrifying as there was nothing to hold on to or keep you in, basically your just stood on a platform - the best adrenaline rush ever, almost better than the sky dive!!! anyway i got back to the hostel at 7pm and i have to go pack coz im changing hostels tommorow but had to book my coach tickets online first so i thought id update. hope alls ok with everyone! gem xxxx
