Brazilian bullets- anybody who knows me knows I'm not a story teller.
-The toilets have been better than expected
-Taxis are cheap (and I usually have not that much utility for taxis)
-Samba music is very repetitive.
-Portuguese is hard
-Cheese and ham toasties are popular.
-The men have little body hair
-Everybody had a tattoo
-We haven't seen many elderly people
-The cigarettes reek
-Rice and chips come with most meals, one would be enough
-Cachaca hurts your head
-Malbec hurts your head
-Not drinking enough water hurts your head
Ooo there's just been a power cut in the airport. This is a new one on me. Oh and we are back in business
-Already lost the ability to do sums in my head.
-Other travellers give us funny looks when we say we aren't getting the night bus (we aren't nuts or students).
-Loads of cops and military police in riot gear.
-The peruvians actually wear ponchos
-Calming music in the subway
-Air con in the subway
-Ladies only carriages in the subway
-The buses have turnstiles and conductors, which we were thankful of when we ended up in the favela
-Sugar goes in everything.
-The only people we saw going around the falls in bikinis and taps aff turned out to be Scottish.
-Lycra is a great invention
-Not that many of the bums hanging out should be allowed to
-Tops must be worn in beach cafés but the budgie smugglers are fine (go figure)
-Budgie smugglers are horrendous. Particularly the ones like shorts.
-There are lots of ants
-Dogs follow you
-Wifi doesn't work after 7pm
-Special sauce is on most menus.
-The people are friendly and nice
-Even the locals didn't carry bags at carnival
-They all carry cool bags or boxes everywhere. They must weigh a tonne. Just buy the water!
-The cup holder on a buggy is for your beer
-All the babies have pierced ears
-There are lots of tiny wee babies with loads of hair. Scary amounts of the stuff
-The majority of the handsome men in rio are gay
-The train stations had little stalls outside them and some were tiny one chair hairdressers, nail bars or just a lady with a sewing machine doing alterations.
-tam still give a pre take off sweetie. BA should take note.
