Packed up camp and left around 11. Drove to Spitekuppe campsite. This took slightly longer than anticipated and also involved another tyre repair, this time by a lovely man who only charged us a quarter of the amount for a much better job.

We arrived at Spitekuppe at about 5pm. How spectacular. We had sundowners on a rock looking out over a vast landscape. It was beautiful.

We had spingbok steak for tea cooked on the braai. It was delicious but a little over done. Very difficult on the fire with no light. The salad was also amazing.

Sat round the fire after dinner Rachael told me to look round and there was a small spotted genet. It passed about a metre from my chair and then sat on a rock in the light of our touch, looking at us. It was quite calm and completely entrancing.
