Hi all,
We had a safe flight to Hong Kong and today is our first full day here...What a difference from Bangkok!! Very clean and have not seen one bit of litter on the floor since we've got here!
We are currently in an internet bar at Peak Market waiting for it to get dark so we can see Hong Kong at night, and also waiting for our reserved table at the 'healthy' Bubba Shrimp overlooking the harbour...The tram to get up to the Peak was an experience in itself - so steep!!
Again everyone seems mega friendly and helpful and it's true what they say about a smile doesn't cost you anything...
Our hotel is fantastic compared to Bangkok's traveller accommodation. We have the most amazing view over the harbour and Hong Kong (see photos - these will be uploaded another time). The rooms are really nice too.
Today we have been to Ngong Ping 360..It's a cable car that takes you over the mountains and lakes to a small little village with some sort of giant 'Buddha'....See I can do culture..But that's enough of that! In all seriousness it was a really nice place.
The weather is a nice 22 degrees - not too hot, not too cold....
Really enjoying it so far and more to come tomorrow.
Hope the snow is clearing!!
Lots of love

Last night the 'Bubba Shrimp' was delicious and had a great view over the harbour whilst we were tucking into the shrimps and chips! not good for the diet!...
Today we got up and jumped on the bus to Stanley Market and had a look round there, after Bangkok's bargains Hong Kong seemed quite expensive...
We then went back to near the hotel and got on the Star Ferry over to Kowloon, where we mooched about some more markets and shops and ended up on the waterfront where the Avenue of the Stars are. Again, some great views of Hong Kong Island. I was interviewed and filmed by local college children! Very embarrassing, but couldn't say no as they seemed really sweet. Their English was a lot better than my Chinese..
Again, we are waiting for it to get dark to see the views at night, so thought we'd quickly update you on our travels so far.
Same weather today as it was yesterday but gets cold in the evenings.
Will update the photos tomorrow.
Lots of love

Once it got dark, we went to a lovely restaurant overlooking the harbour, was fantastic food and our final night in Hong Kong was over, what a lovely place it is. Once again thoroughly enjoyed ourselves
