As the traveler who has once been from home is wiser than he who has never left his own doorstep, so a knowledge of one other culture should sharpen our ability to scrutinize more steadily, to appreciate more lovingly, our own.

Welcome to adventures of 2 Gingers and a Rachie, soon to have an additional Castelli to join us at some point somewhere in Bangkok. Plus I must not forget the kids! for those who dont know who they are, they are finger puppets named Lolita (Lama) and Condor (Vicuna) who came into our lives when we stopped off at a roadside cafe somewhere in Peru and who have accompanied us on travels ever since!

Our adventures will start in the snow capped landscape of the himalayan mountains where we shall embark on a 10 day trek - none of us have done any training and the closer its getting the more worried i am! but we were planning on doing a 23 day trek - then we came to our senses! compared to that 10 days doesnt seem that long...im sure we'll update you on that!

After Nepal, we head to Bangkok where we meet up with Castelli before heading North to Vietnam then Cambodia where we will bore you with lots of bloggs about long bus rides, poorly tummies, and dodgy hotels! cant wait! woo woo!

When that part is over, the girls leave me and head home to the UK, not long before im joined by my gorgeous boy Jonny who will accompany me on travels to the tropical islands off Thailands east and west coasts, where we will play shipwrecked and castaway for a month before returning back to UK just in time to make everyone jealous of our tans at Christmas time!
