We're now in the islands of Thailand and haven't really been doing much except lazing on the beaches, so sorry if this blog is really boring!
We left Bangkok and got bus/train to Krabi where we stayed on Ao Nang beach for 3 nights. Krabi province is famous for good rock climbing so we had a go at half a day of this. Mike was a natural as usual, and l wasn't too bad - we both had aching arms by the end of it and had no strength left to push the tuk tuk when it got stuck in the mud taking us home, but it was a good day and we'll probably be trying it again when we get back to the U.K. Loads of photos of this so skip them if you get bored of looking at us and rocks!
Other than that we worked on our tans, had a few massages and ate a lot of fresh seafood!
Then we went to Ko Phi Phi and did pretty much the same thing! We went on an island hopping trip, including Maya Bay where 'The Beach' was filmed, saw monkeys in the trees over looking the very clear blue sea and did some snorkelling. We also rented a kayak and paddled all around the bay.
Next stop was Ko Lanta which was very sedate. We ended up staying at the same resort as two Israeli guys; Chico and Yanif who we had originally met in Laos so we hung out with them around the pool and restaurant for 2 whole days and didn't go anywhere. Mike went out once to play football and came back with a huge blister on his foot, and then on the last night we played volleyball against the staff so there was a bit of exercise thrown in as well!
Now we're back in Krabi again and off to Ko Samui in a couple of days, although we've heard the weather is bad over there at the moment so we're desperately trying to sunbathe in half hour intervals, back then front so that we have some sort of tan to last us!
Until next time amigos, adios!
