We stayed in a free park on the side of the road last night with about 20 other vans of all sizes and varying mod cons. The road trains were very noisy and one decided to honk us, thank goodness they stopped about 10pm.
Today has been interesting as the terrain and vegetation has changed throughout our journey. As you can tell from the photo today we are now in boab country and we have seen many majestic escarpments, views of different ranges all around us. This country has rivers and creeks criss crossing it everywhere and they are sizeable, I can imagine it in the wet when it is sometimes impassable. After crossing the border we arrived at lake Argyle this afternoon and are camped next to two other Kimberley campers. One couple asked us to have a look at their electrics and offered us drinks for the trouble so happy hour started early! They have a different model to ours and it was interesting to see the improvements they have made to the later models but not all differences are for the better!
We are staying at Lake Argyle tourist resort 70 klms from Kununurra, in a huge luxurious park, with the best infinity pool in Australia!
