Dennis was up early went to fill the car with diesel, wash the car with a high pressure hose and buy fresh bread and he was back by 7:15. After we left the cabin, with one of the best views we've had, we checked out the golf club and the water ski area. Then we were off on a long drive to Katherine. We stopped for morning tea in a roadside stop and about 2 hours into the trip Den asked me to relieve him to drive, he had a short nap until I woke him to look at the spectacular river we were driving parallel to. We decided to break for lunch and drive down to the river's edge, onto rocks which would normally be covered in water in the wet season. What a picturesque place, Den decided to throw a line in and in no time he had a baby barra, he was quite excited. We had lunch and he went off further down the river and across the old ford, he was having such a good time but we had to move on, if we still had our camper we might have been tempted to stay. Arrived in Katherine at 5:45pm we lost an hour and a half when we crossed the border, so were a bit out whack. Staying at the Pine tree motel and had dinner at the RSL.
