We leave Amsterdam behind as I blog again on the train to Paris. Amsterdam is the first place we truly moved onto Europe time. We found ourselves for the first time feeling normal about eating dinner at 10 in the evening.
We spent our second last day doing a clogs cheese and windmills tour ....the new threat to fitness for Maui swim fitness is cheese consumption. A session in the gym and a good swim in the bath tub size pool tied to the ladder should help.
Yesterday a trip to Delft was a highlight with a visit to the delft blue peacock factory. I felt my mother with me as I walked in the door as she used to love this pottery.
We bought a very fine display plate and vase that we can put in our home as a memory of both Mim and this wonderful trip.
Delft 's town centre was just enchanting and the 30 minutes on the tour was inadequate. I hope to return in my life to spend more time in this place. This was followed by a quick run around The Hague.....an old style Dutch international Canberra.
We finished off our stay with an Indian meal near the hotel. The picture for this blog is Ket in a very lovely Thai restaraunt with a view over the nearby canal.
