Today Ket opted out of the city tour we had booked preferring to stay a little longer in bed and savour the impact of the good spirit of the evening before.
On the city tour of most interest was gaining an understanding of the impact of Hurricane Katrinaa. But even more interesting was the cemetery where the dead are entombed in above ground vaults which bake the remains down to nothing in less than 12 months allowing multigenerational use by the same family.
We finished off a great visit with a cruise on the steamboat Nanchez listening to Southerb jazz and getting a feel for the greatness of the Mississippi.
Memories of stories of Huck and Tom came with me.
