Of all the places I have visited in Brazil Belo Horizonte is the place I have felt most at home. It is the home city of Vanessa but besides this point it is a wonderful city full of character and charm. It is Brazils 4th largest city and has a population of around 3.5million people. It is in my opinion the safest city as well. There are a…
Hi guys, girls, girlie guys and girls who like to dress as guys! Welcome to my travel blog.
I cant promise that in any way this will be amusing, educational or even remotely interesting - however I do have somewhat a reputation for getting into the most stickiest of sticky situations when I travel - so who knows!
If you like something I wrote - or laughed at one of the pictures please leave a comment - there are far too few comments so far!!

Today we depart beautiful Bonito for somewhere even more amazing: The Pantanal. Located in the centre of South America it is the largest contiguous wetlands in the world - some 210,000 sq km. …

Diversity is the spice of life - or some such crap! just thought I'd let you know we spent the weekend up the block. There were 8 couples and 19 kids and 5 dogs and every single one had a fabulous time! Lots of alcohol consumed and rubbish talked. Craig has bought a proper toilet block and a 4wd ute to live up there and is still playing with the excavator like a kid at XMas. Keep up the blogging so poor people like me who can't afford further than Blackbutt get to hear about other cultures. Have Fun
Lotsaluv to you both

Hi Simon
It's pretty sad to see our people having to beg for money but be aware that they just do it because they need.
Besides that, it seems you weren't able to feel all the Bahia lifestyle. Good people, trying to be as friendly as possible, good music and wonderful gastronomy.
Brazil has innumerous problems, and it is pretty unpleasant to read some people highlighting the bad parts, instead of the good ones.
You can't go to a country with your heart and soul closed
, expecting to have there what you have at home. The best part of travelling is being able to see cultures that are different of yours and respect it at least, if you don't understand. it makes you a better person after each one.
Salvador is great! I loved being there and Bahia people are amazing.
Hope u guys have had fun anyway

Hi Si and Vanessa
Looks like you're having a great time. We're missing your smilie face up here and Fourby is still wandering around looking for you. Abby has a "sore paw" and Sash hasn't noticed you're gone yet. Kids miss you and Craig wants his little mate back. Keep in touch, Have a fabulous XMas and we'll catch up soon.
