Gary's World Adventure
Well where do I start I wonder...Ko Pan-ngan after all is the party island of Thailand and I can vouch for that....it was definately the holiday side of my travels. I pulled 3 irish girls (sorry girls love you) on the bus on the way down to the boats to islands...knew from that moment on it was going to be non stop partying on Ko Pan-ngan...well after all I did introduce them to the thai whisky buckets...so you can probably guess the way the rest of the time together went! On the way down to the islands I had my credit card stolen from the bottom of my backpack and 2 t-shirts, it was an inside job and done in the middle of the nyte whilst we were driving along the motorway because my backpack was underneath the coach...thank god them being thai's didnt take it to a shop instead put it in the cash machine and put random numbers in needless to say my bank cancelled it immeidately and I learnt a lesson...and only at the cost of the call home...which cost me about 15.00...but thats another story. Me and Ltd (Lydia/Teresa/Dee or LTD & G as we called ourselves) met another superstar Lorna on the boat a scottish girl we spent most of the time with the 5 of us were terrible for each other..talk about leading each other astray! Okay well lets start the sheninnagans (is that how you spell it I dont know)...I spent all the time living with the irish girls...it was mental. We all went on a reggae boat cruise it was really good visiting waterfalls/paradise beaches and snorkelling...oh nearly forgot the obgilatory free spliffs handed out on the boat cruise (it was a raggae baot cruise). We all had a really good day. To be honest we were having a quiet night every nyte but then once one whisky bucket was finished and the parties were getting going on the beach what could we do but get another...we did find somewhere where it was only 100bt per bucket whereas everwhere else was 300bt..thats how we justified it to ourselves...tactital thinking eh we thought so! Ltd decided to do yoga and I got a bit carried away with the moment of finding a real muay thai gym and booked myself in for 12 sessions...each session was 2hrs..thats 24hrs! Well off I trot for my first one thinking it'll be a breeze having done some at home.....well let me tell you nothing could have prepared me for this. Two of the instrustors teaching me solo for 2 hours they kicked me every way I could go...I learnt some too. The next day I could not move my left arm at all, I visited the doctor and realise they've kicked my elbow out (phew I was thinking thats means dont have to go back) so its arm in a sling for a week. BUT let me assure you I shall be heading back there on my down to Malaysia to have my other 11 sessions...I'll do the kicking ass this time honest! Without going on too much Haad Rin beach where we stayed was gorgeous really picture postcard meterial...most of you will have recieved a postcard from their we had a hut right on the beach...mmm beautiful! Whoops nearly forgot the most important nyte me and ltd went to the half moon party...wow it was mental. Imagine in the middle of the jungle on a tiny island a massive rave all night til the sun came up, we really enjoyed it and boy did I sleep all that day! It was really good to experience though I left the island before full moon. Hlaf moon was enough for me......As I cant box and dont want to party its over to Koh Tao for me folks to learn to scuba dive...see you all there!
