Well people here I am lazing on one of many islands Thailand has to offer...it took me 25hrs but arrived in one peice..well minus the songs to my ipod but thats another story...Im not going to go on about it except say I now have no songs on my ipod except 1 blue song....!! Livid was not the word.

Hi people thankyou for taking the time out to follow me on my travels, I am sure I can hear some of you saying "at last"..I know ive taken my time to get around to this point in my life but every path has a reason so I think....Anyway at last the travelling itch has caught up with me and indeed the final date it will have caught me is Saturday 24th September 2005 when I will be saying a tearful "adios" to my much loved family and friends and onto pastures new and into the bright lights of bangkok and onwards.
I know some of you have said you will try to come and see me in australia, I would welcome anyone of you to come and share this experience with me.
Okay let me fill you all in with my plans..firstly I shall be spending a week or two in bangkok city then take myself north to see the bridge over river kwai. From there I shall be heading north to Chaing Mai to see elephants and enjoy soem trekking/rafting then I will be heading towards east thailand to spend some time on the island of Koh Chang. At the end of November I shall be then making my way back to bangkok to meet (Lewis) someone Ive been in contact with the last few months from Singapore, who I will be travelling with for a couple of months. We will then be heading for Cambodia for a couple of weeks then over to Ho Chi Minh in Vietnam for christmas. Mid January I shall be leaving Lewis to head for Hanoi (northern Vietnam) on the 44hr train journey,where I shall embark on a 5 week volunteer project in an orphanage.
Okay I'm up to early march now so will be travelling across to Laos for a couple of weeks before hitting thailand again and back to bangkok for yet another long train journey down the breath of thailand towards Malaysia of course will be stopping off visiting the islands and experiencing full moon parties and golden sandy beaches (sorry I couldnt resist rubbing it in)..then when Im bored of lazing on the beaches I will head for Kuala Lumpar after which Singapore is the final destination for this part of the trip which will probably be about May/June 2006...then it's the big one AUSTRALIA here I come.
I shall be flying into Perth for a few weeks, no later than the beginning of July where I then fly to Sydney where I will spending the next 2years...the homeward trip is going to be via Miami and New York but will update you nearer the time.
Of course all these dates could change..you know me but I'll keep this updated as much as possible.
Enough for now folks...oh except for one thing I am going to miss each and everyone of you......Gary x

Hi friends....my travels update is Im now in australia Ive been here for 2 weeks...My first impressions of the country is that it is really clean, there is so much space and they love their wine here..everyone is always drinking! Ive been working for 1week now as a farm hand weekdays and in the local country pub at weekends - honestly its killing me after not working for so long but it will all be worthwhile when I meet up with Bob (I cant wait) in sydney in 4weeks..then party party party. Im doing really well and living the australia dream Ive been wanting for so many years....I miss you all. will do a group e-mail in a couple of weeks.

Only me...jus to say Im still alive and currently on Ko Lanta (Thailand) relaxing/sunbathing and oh yeah doing another muay thai kick boxing course...I will become a thai boxing king if it kills me!
