Oh dear lord - kill me now. I woke up with a pounding headache. Every time I moved my head I had shooting pains - all my body parts ached. I felt sick. I could have felt sorry for myself and slept all day. Me Chris and Gesa had a bit of a laugh in the morning, about what actually happened. All I managed to do was brush my teeth and get some water so I could take pain killers. Climbed back into my bunk and went to sleep I couldn't feel the hangover when I was sleeping. It was about 11 o'clock when me and Chris were both awake again. We decided we should get out of bed. The shower made me feel a bit better, but today was going to be full of highs and lows! Chris was also hanging pretty bad, but we were both in need of some greasy food.
Leaving the hostel it was super cold outside, we walked to the tram stop and went two stops into the centre of down town. We has planned to get Mc Donald's. We had picked one out on the map. When we arrived it was bloody closed and being refurbished. Gutted. We ended up having A&W not as good as the golden arches but we needed food. I have only had A&W a couple of time and the more I have it the more I don't really like it, even on a hangover. After we had eaten we were on another low. Feeling sick again. Managed to get to H&M and buy some scarfs and gloves! It should help with the cold weather. Then headed back to the hostel and chilled out watching some trash Canadian TV & playing pool. Me and Chris are actually getting good. It's free at this hostel so we have been playing loads.
By the evening we were feeling a lot better and starting to feel a lot more human. The main supermarket is on the other side of down town. So we set off. We both felt up for something to eat and thought the fresh air would help more. We picked up some stuff to make some food and headed back. It didn't take long to cook, and while we were messing around we put some washing on! (A little boring for you to know - but it needs to be done when your travelling!) the dinner was nice and we cooked omelet. Overall today was a little bit of a right-off. It was nice to have a quiet day - we did explore the city a little but the hangover was the worst I've had in a long time. Tomorrow more exploring Calgary. No alcohol. Note to self - Don't drink liquid cocaine.
