After a great night sleep at the Wool Shed, it was time to move on from the sleepy town of Hervey Bay which I have learnt is a bit like Eastborne, where all the elderly come to retire. Got to the greyhound bus station, got on my bus on route to Rainbow Beach. During the journey I was just staring our the window looking at the view when I remember my swimming shorts were drying on a chair... I pissing forgot them! They were my new ones as well that I got in Singapore, I was pissed off, but not a lot I can do about it. Will have to try and buy the same pair when I next see the shop! Would have been expensive to return for a pair of shorts! I hadn't booked any hostel this time for rainbow beach. This was the first time I hadn't planned anything. Opposite the greyhound bus stop was the hostel Fraser's at Rainbow beach. Looked nice so booked 2 nights. When I got access to the room it was ok, but basic, I hate it when hostels don't have lockers... It means I have to carry my bag around full of all my important stuff.
Dumped my main rucksack and walked to the shops that were about 2 minutes away. Walked around, the 15 shops mostly cafe's, Then headed to the beach. It was hot enough to sunbath even though it was windy. I laid there reading my book, watching the surfers. I am sure for a short while I had actually fallen asleep. The afternoon went really quickly, and the sun disappeared in the distance. I went to get some late lunch, early dimmer. Quiche and potato wedges! Today was really quiet, but it was nice just to chill on the beach. I'm so close to finishing my book. I have 2 books ready to read. Just know they are not going to be as good as hunger games. I didn't bother with dinner as I had just eaten before. Headed to bed early. I had a top bunk, I am really starting to hate bunk beds,.. I still have a long while before I get my king size bed back! (Jan 13!) plus the mattresses have the stupid water protectors on, so Everytime you move it makes a nose. I listened to music and slept.
