The World through my Eyes
Today Amy and I decided to go to the beach. We got directions at around 1100 and set out on our adventure. It began by taking a tram to what we thought was the bus station. But it wasn't. We then jumped another bus and ended up somewhere else. A nice english speaking guy told us to get on the 490 bus and it will take us right to the beach. Well, it didn't. We ended up sitting next to 3 older ladies that tried to speak to us, even though we couldn't understand them, and they obviously knew we couldn't understand them. But they were so nice. After that we hailed a taxi because we ended up a ways outside of Rome. So, currently, it's 4 o'clock, and 31 degrees c. outside, and we still have our bathing suits on, and we haven't made it to the beach yet... Maybe on Tuesday. But, During this whole fiasco, I paid almost 9 euros for a ceaser salad, yougert, and kid size pop at Mc Donalds. It's good to know that some things never change.... but on a brighter side, randomly, I met two nuns walking down the street that were from Alma Michigan. They said that they would pray for me. That made me smile.
