With a great nights sleep last night, we were all prepared for a day in the museums. Dad was our tour guide/ Navigator. Our first stop was the air and space museum. As we walked in, our first impression was wow! There were old planes hung up everywhere that all had a different meaning in history. We went on a quick tour and our tour guide told us about Cal Rodgers who was the first person to fly across the United States and it took him 49 days. We also learnt about Amelia Earhart who was the First Lady to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean. We then went and saw the rockets and we saw the rockets that flew to the moon and the suits that the astronauts wore, which was pretty cool. We then had a quick lunch and walked down the street to the holocaust museum. As we walked in, we picked up an identity card which had the identity of someone that experienced the holocaust. I had Nesse Galperina who got separated from her family due to the Nazis then migrated to the USA. As we walked through, we watched videos, read and looked at pictures of what it was like during the holocaust. It was a very educational experience. Once we left there, dad navigated us to a car hire place, which did not exist. Then he found another one which we walked to which also did not exist. After about 20 minutes, we finally found another one. Finally, we went to Chinatown and had dinner. It was delicious. After tea, we walked down to the markets where we had chocolate filled churos and they were delicious! 16,00 steps today- just over 12km. We are off on our first road trip tomorrow so we better get to sleep!
