Today we had one of our funniest days yet. We started off with a long walk into Chelsea Markets where we had a coffee (the best coffee we have had over here) and a croissant. Then we met up with some other tourists for a guided tour of Chelsea and the "meat packing district." Our tour guides name was Charles and he is an actor on Broadway. He was really entertaining in the way he explains his knowledge of the city and is always having a laugh. We learned all about the Chelsea and the rest of NY in the 18-1900's. Everything was so different back then. We then headed down to the Hudson River to learn about the changing skyline and the history of the old hotels. We were admiring a new hotel that was famous for not having blinds when we saw a fully naked lady and man having SEX up against the window!!! It was one of the funniest sights we had ever seen. It took them a couple of minutes to realise that there was a group of about 20 people on the ground watching them. Then they closed the blinds. But then a man 1 floor up got undressed and you could see his bum. Apparently it isn't a very uncommon thing to see outside the hotel. After that little detour we finished the tour back in Chelsea markets where we had lunch in the seafood markets. Clam chowder. It was delicious. Next we jumped on the subway and headed down to the 9/11 memorial. It is one of the best museums we have ever been to. It was so sad watching all the footage and the stories that we heard. The museum is built around the where the original towers were. It is so hard to imagine the two towers tumbling down in Lower Manhattan. The day ended with a trip over to Brooklyn with dinner at Grimaldi's Pizza. Delicious! We walked back over the Brooklyn Bridge which was a great view of the city.

Nan Oh my god jack you are growing up so fast. I will never ever forget the planes spearing into those towers. As for the sex thing you witnessed my dear boy that is life and human nature. Ask your parents to explain, otherwise talk to me when you return. xoxo
