Its sometime between 3 and 4am here in Los Angeles and for some reason I'm wide awake. Who knows. Anyways, I figured now was as good of a time as any for a little blog update...
After what was possibly the worst flight ever (10 hours of constant turbulance, and the proper rocking about kind that makes you feel slightly scared), we were greeted by about 1hr30mins of queues to get through immigrations and customs. Lovely. Eventually we did manage to make it to the hostel, which is somewhere along Melrose Avenue, so not too far from Hollywood. Not a particularily dodgy area for Hollywood, but its still a bit strange. Lots of homeless people with trolleys.
We recovered from the jet lag a bit and today (well, yesterday) we decided to brave the crowds of Universal Studios. Really good fun, I forgot how good that place is. And of course, we hit the Jurassic Park ride (which was just as awesome as 10 years ago), plus a few new rides: Simpsons, Shrek, Terminator, etc. And gorged ourselves with horrendously unhealthy food in massive proportions. I feel a bit ill now!
We have another 2 days here in LA, then its off to San Francisco!

So I've been requested to extend this entry as it is apparently too short. lol
I recovered from my weird not-feeling-so-well-and-waking-up-at-three-in-the-morning phase yesterday, just spent most of the day doing not much, getting a new phone, some food shopping, etc. Then in the evening, we went to the cinema to see the A-Team, which was really good. On the way there, I had my first celebrity spotting - we walked by Jesse from Eagles of Death Metal and the guitarist! Ok, I've already had a picture taken with them a few years ago, but still, it was pretty cool.
Today we are on Hollywood boulevard, doign the typical tourist trail. Walk of Fame, the museum, etc. Should be good! Tomorrow we leave LA on the greyhound (we'll try to keep our heads on) to head up to San Francisco. Quite looking forward to it! Especially the tour of Alcatraz :D

Claire Was it raining as much on the Jurassic Park ride as it was last time? Don't forget to order extra onion rings!
Christine Pas vraiment remise du jet lag on dirait ! J'espère que la suite du voyage aux US se passera mieux que les débuts, entre la fouille, le vol et les files d'attente !!!
