Got up at six this morning to start my travels. before I even got on the bus I met a girl which will work out well because I think we will travel around together. Staying in a really nice hostel. Kaikoura is a nice town but very small, sun is just coming out which makes it a whole lot better than christchurch already!

I was meant to go whale watching today but the bad weather meant it was called off, so we booked to stay another night so we can go tomorrow morning at 7.15!. I reallly hope I dont get sea sick.

found a quilting shop a few doors down from my hostel so I have got mum some material which I will be sending tomorrow so I dont have to carry it around. Making chilli tonight (david and kt no comments please).

Lee I really need your help there are so many things to do I dont know where to start, our next stop is Nelson, what activities shall I do? I have decided to stay there for two full days (arriving sat and leaving tuesday as monday is meant to be good weather, fingures crossed)
