FWA 7th Grade Texas History Trip 2013
Day two is almost in the books! This morning we visited Mission San Jose and experience the history of mission era Texas. From there we saw a really well done IMAX film on the Alamo. A riverboat tour followed. The kids really seemed to enjoy it. Our guide was great. After lunch we actually visited the Alamo, the heart of Texas independence. We learned by seeing firsthand the sights of sacrifice for Texas independence. Finally, we went to the Espada mission. Both missions, by the way are still active churches. Tonight, we've been relaxing, swimming, playing volleyball, and eating s'mores. The kids are doing great! Tomorrow is Enchanted Rock and Fredericksburg!
