Our last day! This has been a great trip and by far the easiest group of students to travel with. We are headed to Mount Vernon and will see the memorials that we didn't walk through before we go to the airport later this afternoon.

We have a very quiet group this morning...I think they are finally starting to understand that there is a lot if walking on this trip. We are going to the Capitol first today and then the Library of Congress and the Supreme Court. We will have lunch at Union Station and end our day at the American History Museum. Tonight we will enjoy some much deserved "down" time at the hotel pool.

Kendall joined our group last night and the 8th graders were excited to spend some time with Ross last night too. Kendall will stay with us until Thursday night. This morning we are headed to Arlington Cemetery and then the Natural History Museum. It's almost noon and kids are enjoying the Natural History Museum. Day2: Today we are having an early breakfast and getting ready to go to the Pentagon. We are waiting for our Pentagon tour. We had the opportunity to walk the 911 Memorial. We learned: The youngest to lose their life was 3 and the oldest 71. The people that died in the Pentagon, their names were on the outside of the bench looking toward the building. All those on the plane have their names by family on a plaque under the bench. Students loved hearing all y...

The weather is great so we decided to walk the memorials and move the Natural History Museum to Wednesday. The National Archives has a new interactive area so we spent more time there than we originally planned
