FW Travels
APRS tracking quit as I shut it off after missing a turn off and didn't discover it till we were welcomed to Wyoming, about 47 miles. So our easy 3 hr. drive turned into another 6 hr deal.
We seem to be having a navigation problem, so I'm thinking we will go back to paper maps as our navigator knows how to operate one of those. the problem with the new technology is you have to have service for them to work, or fill the device with maps.I stop wit that.
Dodge performance seems to be better, the conditions were not comparable with previous legs but the mileage was .1 better today we were at 6,000 feet and pulling 15 to 28 pounds of boost. The run to Cheyenne should be comparable.
We arrived at the base camp, not as nice as the last but it will pass, it's amazing how they set the utilities up Most RV's are close to the same, it has been a struggle with the power cord, this place it is on the opposite side of the coach. Spent most of the afternoon setting up the satellite dish would get great signal strength then when I went to channel 3 it would come up for a moment and the screen would change to searching for satellite. After a couple hours of this I was about to throw in the towel but decided to try another non local home Chanel and bingo it worked.
seems you can't get the local channels outside a 150 mile range this is a FCC rule (another example of government making life better).
Weather is ok here still in the 90's and a slight breeze so the feels like is lower.
That's today's report, tomorrow were off to Teton National park.
PS: Todays picture is a lake that we saw on the missed turn leg, what is remarkable is there were no boats in sight.
