Awake early again this morning, both of us at 6am. Did some reading until a reasonable hour and then got ready to head out. The only problem with this hostel is trying to find someone as it is family run and I think they live in an apartment upstairs. Up this morning and as soon as mum stood up she started groaning about how sore her feet were. I must admit, mine are a little tired too. So I made it to 3am this morning before being wide awake, mum made it through most of the night, lucky her. Today we were excited to head to the town of Fussen, a 2hr train ride away to visit the castles of Hohenschwangau & Neuschwanstein. The later is famous as it is supposedly the inspiration for the Sleeping Beauty castle at Disneyland. So today was pretty cold and miserable, so it was kind of fitting that we decided to visit the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site. We got the S-Bahn out there and joined a guided tour that went for 2.5hrs. We have survived our first chilly day in Munich. I think it topped out at 3 degrees today. We actually slept through most of last night which was nice. Must be the bonus of travelling over business class and arriving relatively relaxed. We only got about 2.5hr sleep on Saturday night.
