DAY 3
Had a fab breakfast at "Big Nick's Burger Joint", directly underneath the hotel, on Broadway. This place is terribly cheap but the food is great and typically American!
The plan for the day was:
- The American Museum of Natural History, a couple of blocks from our hotel and directly facing West Central Park. I am not a big museum-goer but it was pretty interesting and we managed to stay in there for more than an hour. Lol
- Central Park, was exactly like you see it in films. It's a huge oasis in the middle of a vibrant and noisy city. We walked round The Lake up to the Boat House and all the way back to 72th st west.
- The "Beast" was our last attraction of the day. We departed from Pier 83 (Midtown)on a 100-seater speed boat. It was real fun to be speeding at more than 45 mph on the Hudson river. Lots of people got completely wet! We reached the Statue of Liberty in less than 15 min and said hello again to the symbol of New York.
- shopping at Macy's, the famous department store ( a bit like Selfridges but in less posh).
After a long day, we got back to the hotel Knackered.
Samia was exhausted and decided to stay in, while I went exploring New York by night by myself!
