Thailand, Thailand
Hello people, what the fudge have we got ourselves into? Bangkok is bloody mental. When we first arrived and got to our hotel we thought we were living slap bang in the middle of the slums of Bangkok - turns out we the whole of Bangkok looks like its about to fall down and we were staying in the good part.
On our fist day we decided to go see the Grand Palace which was about a 10min drive from our hotel. However, the taxi driver managed to hit every bit of traffic and take the long route and make it a 35min journey - not much we can do really. Suppose he earned his 13pence. As soon as we got to the palace we had our next lesson of Bangkok: every Thai will tell you that the palaces and temples are closed, that you need trousers to go in orit is only open to Thai people. Obviously I believed everything that they said at first because they seemed nice as pie. This resulted in us having a 3hr Tuk Tuk tour to see the s***est places Bangkok has to offer - what a pair of t*** we turned out to be. After this lesson we did get to see the sights we wanted to see and we were slowly learning that Bangkok Thais are p****.
We managed to find the Western side of Thailand (Coh San Road) that evening which resulted in a messy night. We were getting drunker and drunker as the night went on and decided we would take a trip to Pat Pong (as suggested by Olly). Lets just say that we didn't end up at Pat Pong but it turned out to be a messy night.
