Just want to say that Vic Hislop Shark Place is wrong about the shark> If you swim in the water you are in it home. It has every right to eat you.
Thanks
Dad

Love from all.
Mum
Well dear, your photos are absolutely fantastic - sorry, frantastic! What amazing things you've seen and done. Daddy and I are very envious - we're next! Those pics of you stroking a tiger are amazing - and quite terrifying. I had read about the place - never thought I'd see photos of you there with them! Won't be long before you're home - we can't wait to see you! Lots of love, Mum xxx
Dad
Yes Frances, very funny. I bet when that snake jumped out of that box you were legging it down the road, screaming the loudest. One thing about you babe you love a bit of fun.

Sounds like it's been a long and winding road. You must be foot sore and looking to a hot bath and a comfy bed to sleep in (until you save up enough for the next trip!).
We both look forward to seeing all the photos when you get around to it.
Love from both of us.
Dad
Hi Frances,
You did well to arrange your flights, taxis, and hotels and your diving without any help. We are pleased you are now on tour with a small group, but still watch your luggage. XXXXX
Mum
Hey cool Open Water Diver! Well done, well done, well done! We are so proud of you! A fantastic achievement. I wanted to learn to dive sooooo much when I was your age. I'm delighted you've got to do it - and you've done so well! I'm sure I could never have done that maths bit - it sounds very difficult. Enjoy yourself and be careful of the bends! Congratulations from all of us, mummy, Dad, James xxx
Dad
Hi Frances,
Glad to speak to you yesterday, hope you have settled into you hotel. Don't forget as soon as you sort out a phone card or a new sim card we can speak at length. Hope you can sort out your diving, but take great care as I'm not sure what standards they have over there. Love from all.

Hi Fran! Good to read all about your travels since you left Melbourne. But not happy to see you in the traitorous colours of the swans - I think red, black and white would suit you better! Go saints! :) Also, Kirsty is very jealous to see the pics of you nursing a joey! And she's planning on sending you a photo of an australian animal that is MUCH cuter than a bilby! So stay posted! Alot has been happening here since you left - it was Jaydens 3rd birthday - he had a great time with the fire engine that came. Will send your mum and dad some photos. Take care in Thailand! Mel and Dan have been there and loved it, so I am sure you will too! Love from the whole family! xoxo Pat

Well dear, you're on your way at last to Bangkok. I hope it' lives up to your expectations. Just watch all your possessions, ALL of the time. Of course you're a seasoned traveller now! I read about a 'scam' in Bangkok in the paper yesterday. Apparently what they do at the main temples is, direct you to the side or back door of the temple, which is usually locked anyway, then tell you the temple is 'closed'. They will then direct you to a nearby temple 'just as good'. A handy taxi is immediately found for you, a discount price negotiated even, and off you go - but the driver goes by way of a very expensive souvenir shop, where there is tremendous pressure to buy 'local crafts'. So beware!
Oh by the way, the correct answer to the Independent's 'spoof' story was NONE of the ones I told you about! They were all true! It was a story about local councils wanting to tax people because of their barbecue fumes - air pollution and all that. Anyway, good luck in your next country! Love from us all, Mummy, Dad and James.

Hello Frances and a happy easter. We were surprised to haer you are cold, What season is it at the present in Australia? How long will you be in Thailand? Still enjoying the piccies!
Wow, haven't you covered some ground while you've been away.
Love from us both.

G'day Fran, So glad you're having such a wonderful time and experiencing sooo much!! The Good & the not so...cant believe the condition of the four wheel drive you were given. I would have wanted my money back! Just imagine not having the appropriate tools for a flat tyre in the vechicle. It should come with the car. Maybe thats the idea...almost like they're trying to put off the tourists. I was worried at first but didnt want to dampen your spirit by being negative but I think thats the island where a little boy was mauled by a dingo. Its pretty remote...were there any dingos there? But then again you've been on safari in Africa!! We thrilled that you DID get to a footy match, and in style, before you exit Aust. Footy is bigger in Aust. than soccer. Thats something we wanted you to experience but unfortunately the Footy season hadnt quite started when you were here in melbourne...anyway Sydney Swans are the opposition...!!! Here, we all go for the Saints...St Kilda! Well atleast the Greengrasses do.. they're members. Uncle Ken, Mike Kelly & I used to many moons ago. Havent been to a game for ages but cheer them on at home. VFA footy started in Mebourne & consisted originally of just Victorian teams...but now its Aust. wide with one or two teams from other states and about 7 vic. teams. (Luke's team is the Westcoast Ealges as he was born in W.A but spent his early years in Reno, USA) I'm not sure when you're leaving for Thailand...must be in a few days. 6th? I feel for you not having anyone to see you off....it does feel lonely. Just remember we're with you in spirit and will send you a text if we can find out date & time of your flight. xxxx take care
