We wandered down the Royal Mile for breakfast and found a little cafe down an alley. We discovered it was the workshop of Deacon Brodie in the 1750's. This fella was apparently a fine upstanding citizen during the day and a burglar at night. Eventually he was caught and hung. Robert Louis Stevenson wrote a book about him 100 years later.
