Well arrived home on Friday night 30th April, 3 months after leaving home, wow its great all those things I took for granted & will again Im sure, are such luxurys. Things like cleaning your teeth under running water, flushing the paper in the toilet, lying in a comfortable bed, its great. For 3 months I have had to put toilet paper in a bin, so when on the plane flying home I looked at the paper & thought what do I do with it, flush it or bin it, amazing how you forget these things. But Im home and Im flushing, its wonderful.
You might be aware that my trip went t*** up a little on the last few days as I put down how I really felt, wrong, but right I felt so much better for it. I had kept quite for so long as travelling with people you clash with is so hard & I just had to release how I felt. That ostriesized me, both girls never spoke to me again. If anything it was a shame with Linsey as it could have been all so different ! I have been deleted of there facebooks which is fine I only need good friends on it. So feel free to say how I feel.
My last few days in Rio where great,(although it rained ) I done as I wanted & felt free. I went to Sugar loaf mountain which was amazing & in general had a good relaxed time. Can reccomend Rio to you, if you get chance.
Summary of my trip after leaving Peru which seems a lifetime away ;;;;;;;;
TRAVEL Caught 10 buses,2 trains,loads of taxis 1 boat trip & finally 2 planes home.
MONEY Sol, Bolivianos,Guadani , Peso`s & real finally sterling.
SITES Lake Titicana, Train graveyard,salt plains,Geysers, hot springs,Lagoons (different colours) Volcano, amazing mountain ranges Cathedrals, many towns & places. Biggest waterfalld in the world finishing of with the amazing beach in Copacabana Rio
ROOMS Many, some clean,some very dirty, very cold & very hot. Many I really dont ever want to see again.
TOILETS Bushes ,trees, mud heaps,buckets, holes in the ground & occasional toilet.
WATER If you got it and it was warm and not dribbling grab a quick shower.
FOOD Turned into a vegetarian, lived of bread,rice,chips & omlettes, all safe option. Plus banana rolls yummy.
TRAMPS Everywhere we went, some begging, but you cant put the worls to rights. San paulo was the worst I think. People lying everywhere. One thing you did notice in all these places they smelt pissy in the mornings but soon flushed away by locals & a bucket of water.
WORST THINGS OVER THE WHOLE 3 MONTHS
Alltitude, saying goodbye to kids,Toilets, food, Scary long bus journeys,dirt, dust, Missed cooking, eating Vegetables. English cup tea, one traveller, miised my family & friends. Shame I couldnt upload more pictures.Even today at home cant get this site to work. x
MEMORABLE MOMENTS
Cusco, Machu Pichu, Sacred Valley, bike ride, Colca canyon,Arequipa, Kids faces every time they saw you,Salt Plains, Uquazu falls (Brazil side best) Sugar Loaf Mountain Ipanema & Copacabana Beach.
AM I GLAD I DONE IT all even though the last part of travelling was hard, Definetly YES it was an amazing experience. So much out in the world to appreciate & see. I would like to see more but if I backpack again it either has to be on my own, or with a very very good friend.
Thank you for following my journey, its been great to no you have been there giving me your support. Wonder if I could find a travel job, that would be just up my street, reporting back daily. No problem. Look forward to catching up with you all, and getting those dinners in you promised. My friends far away give me chance to recover & who knows i could be knocking you doors. Adios Amigos, ciao, Adeus, Au Revoir, & Bye from me.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

bo and pete 3 months is quite different from 6 weeks - you were clearly loving it - toilets, immodium and all ! It was great to read your final summary amigo. Now we just need to get together over a glass of dodgy south american vino once you've sorted out your photos. It was great to see you - you are looking fab - all tanned, slim and relaxed. Hopefully we'll look like that in a few weeks. Well done for being such a brave chicadee - a huge pat on the back for being so adventurous. See you in July (unless you've got bored and have b*****ed off on another adventure. Luv Us two xx
