Today is Saturday, and after an eventful night out have time to do a blog page as not off until tonight.
Last night I had one glass of wine and I was over the top ,with the altitude I might have to give the alcohol a miss and stick to tea. Plus for those of you that no me really well cant have the ice here so coca tea it is.
Glad my kids are grow up and not out there travelling seeing some of these, they think nothing of getting drunk and being shoved in a taxi, scary. Also a lot of them have parasites in there stomachs that they cant get rid off as they have drunk the water etc, but they carry on. Its going to be fun spending the weekend with them !
Tonight we catch the bus at 10.00pm and travel to Puno over night it takes 8 hours to get there. Oh joy, but it has to be done. While there we will visit Lake Titicaca ,Islas Flotantes(floating Islands) and join a festival. So sounds pretty full on, my only worry is those youngsters will want me to party with them. Im taking my book & hope to have a room of my own. Bless them, think the oldest is 24 and a looney tune.
We will be travelling back by bus on Tuesday,so I hope to fill in blog that night, but dont worry if you dont get anything until Thursday. As if we are back late I wont do it and I have a hectic day Wednesday. School in the morning visit safe house in the afternoon, and possibly cookery lesson that night. Hectic life here in Cusco. It rained again all last night but better today so hopefully a dry weekend.
To answer some questions yes there are great shops in Cusco, couple of the girls just had boots made. I have bought myself a warm sweater made of Lima wool.
I am only 5mins walk from the square so not far from all the life. My bed is comfortable now Im used to it & all is well.
I will leave you to have a break now but watch for more Im sure exciting tales and pictures from our trip
next week.
