One of the best night's sleep in our camper so far, due to the constant rain outside lowering the temperature and providing a soothing background noise to cover the trucks.
After breakfast we drive down to Sydney through constant rain and leaden skies. Just like home!
Tonight we're staying with Stacey and Jaypee, friends of Christy, who are very kindly putting us up for 2 days. We meet Stacey at her workplace to pick up her keys, then drive to theirs to drop off our bags. Eventually, we return Jucy to the depot, and it's an emotional parting. We've driven 1912 kilometres in Jucy, according to our trip recorder!
We'd taken the bus down to Redfern (in the continuing grey drizzle) before Foxy realised that his iPad was still happily tucked up under the front seat of Jucy. So, a quick call and email to Jucy and back on the bus we go, to collect it.
iPad recovered, we bus back to Redfern, and finally get a train to Carlton Station, from where Stacey very kindly picks us up.
We're made to feel very welcome chez Stacey and Jaypee, and Stacey even cooks us spaghetti bolognese before we chill out on the sofa and watch Graham Norton. Simple pleasures.
A real bed to sleep in tonight, rather than a campervan, and we crawl under the covers very gratefully after a long day of travel!
